Objective:  The purpose of this unit is to provide a history of corrosion as a major integrity threat within the hydrocarbon industry, and how corrosion engineering was the sole solution used to tackle corrosion issues for more than a hundred years up to the early 2000’s.

Objective: The purpose of this unit is to explain how the corrosion management discipline was created and to describe the two current corrosion management models and their attributes.
