Lesson 1 - NORSOK M-501

Objective
The objective to this training lesson is to give an overview of the NORSOK Standard M-501 entitled, Surface preparation and protective coating, which gives the requirements for the selection of coating materials, surface preparation, application procedures and inspection for protective coatings to be applied during the construction and installation of offshore installations and associated facilities.

Lesson 2 - EN ISO 12944 (Parts 1-9)

Objective:
The objective of this lesson is to give an understanding of the EN ISO Standard 12944 Paints and Varnishes – Corrosion Protection of Steel Structures by Protective Paint Systems Parts 1-9.
This standard is widely used in the protective coatings industry.

Lesson 3 - EN ISO 4628 (Parts 1-6)

Objective:
The objective of this training lesson is to give an overview of the EN ISO 4628 Parts 1 to 6.
Paints and varnishes – evaluation of degradation of paint coatings. Designation of intensity, quantity and size of common types of defects.
